WDSF DanceSport Festival, Bremen 2024

In May 2024 our team travelled to take part in The WDSF DanceSport Festival in Bremen, Germany.

Our Youth couple Dima and Sinead were the Irish representatives and took part in the European Youth Latin Championships – they achieved a very impressive, 20th place out of 59 Latin National Champions, which is a fantastic achievement for such a new couple.

They have worked incredibly hard over past 6 months and that work paid off, as they danced against very best couples in Europe and continued to build a very strong reputation as dancers to watch in future.

Also dancing this weekend was our Lauren O’Dwyer and she became the WINNER of WDSF Junior2 Ballroom competition.

Lauren is now 2nd in World Ranking in Junior2 in both Standard and Latin.

Karolina Pietruszka achieved 3rd place in the WDSF Adult Standard & 8th place in Adult Latin.

Karolina is now 1st in World Ranking in Standard and 7th in Latin.

Justin Plesca & Madison Jones competed against some of the worlds best couples in both Standard & Latin – both events had a great number of highly International competitive couples.

They placed 12th / 22 couples in Standard and 29th / 42 in Latin.

Lara Gaughan made it to quarter finals of both Adult Latin and Youth Latin which was a great comeback to dance floor having been away due to injury and exams for several months.

She placed 13th in Adult Open and 19th in Youth Open.

We are very proud of all our dancers who continue to build solid reputation on the world stage, they are all very respected dancers in dance world and we look forward to what future holds for them.

Now we are all back to training, we focus on our International Summer Camp in preparation for German Open and more World & European Championships in the second part of the year.
