WDSF & DSE DanceComp 2024, Ireland

The DanceComp 2024 was held on Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th November in The Woodford Dolmen Hotel, Carlow. This was our 11th year to organsie an International competition, our 2nd year to host WDSF and our 1st year to host DSE events – the 2 most prestigious organisations in the world.

The DanceComp 2024, saw competitors and officials travel to Ireland from 22 countries for the weekend and over 500 spectators over the two days. We had the current number 1, top 5 and top 10 world ranked athletes taking part in the event in addition to many other athletes who also are finalists of World or European Championships.

So the best of the best came to join us and we are grateful to all those countries who supported us, yet again.

We had the top World DanceSport DJ providing his excellent music for the weekend, DJ Maksy from Estonia, we had nine WDSF adjudicators from 7 countries and a top MC, Mr Igor Gutovskyi from Ukraine joining us to officiate the event. 

The event took months of preparation from our amazing team at Wojtek Potaszkin Dance Academy. The weekend was a huge success and received amazing feedback from our international guests, with many commenting on the amazing hospitality received and the beauty of Carlow.

Joining us this time we had: Bulgaria-Chinese Taipei-Cyprus-Czechia-Democratic Republic of Congo-Georgia-Germany-Iceland-Ireland-Italy-Moldova-Morocco-Netherlands-Poland-Romania-San Marino-Singapore-Slovenia-Spain-Switzerland-Ukraine-Estonia.
