At the weekend of 30th April/1st May, the Belgian DanceSport Federation (World DanceSport Federation member body) organised their annual National Championships that were held in a beautiful city of Turnhout near Antwerp.

The competition welcomed the very best Belgian dancers in Under21, Adult and Senior divisions.

There was also a number of regional competitions and events for Juvenile and Junior couples and solos – it was a pleasure to watch passionate Belgian future stars.

Our director and principal teacher, Wojtek – was invited to be part of an International adjudicators panel and as he said himself:

‘It was a great Championship with a lot of talent, amazing hospitality and highest level organisation around it – I’m very honoured to be invited here as an adjudicator’

He also continued: ‘Discussions took place about mutual support between Irish and Belgian schools and we’re looking forward to working together for better future of all our dancers’.

We are grateful for being able to be part of it and watch the Belgian best at work.
