WDSF Romanian International Dance Cup 2022

on

In what’s been a busy year for the Academy, this time our dancers travelled to the beautiful western Romanian city of Timisoara over the last weekend of November to compete in the Romanian International Dance Cup 2022.

This was a World DanceSport Federation event organised by Emanuel Jebeleanu and the Romanian DanceSport Federation – an absolute pleasure for our dancers to be there!

The event was organised very well and the competition was of an extremely high level, it truly pushed our dancers to their limits – a wonderful experience for them to have.Wojtek was invited to adjudicate at this event too – another feather in his cap!

Our dancers Lara, Filip and Olivia competed in their respective categories.

Filip and Olivia Fraszczyk

After a very long day of competing, Filip (age 10) and Olivia (age 8) reached the semi-final of the Juvenile Open 6 dance event – we are immensely proud of them for achieving this result as it was no mean feat. On Day 2, they placed 8th in the semi final of the Juvenile Open Standard event.

Lara Maria Isaac

Our Academy’s youngest competitive DanceSport athlete, Lara Maria Isaac (all of 5!) placed 2nd in the category of up to 7 years – the sky really is the limit for our little star!

Our dancers were accompanied by their parents on this trip and had plenty of downtime as well to enjoy the city. All in all a great weekend away with a mix of hard work and fun!

Filip also got to celebrate his 10th birthday along with his dance family before returning to Dublin!

Our dancers enjoyed this trip and also had the privilege to witness some amazing world-class professional dancing at the event, leaving them inspired and looking forward to their training. We already can’t wait to visit Timisoara next year!

Next stop for team WPDA is Egypt!
