The Red Sea Aldau Dance Festival 2022

In what marks the end of a year that’s been nothing short of spectacular for the Academy, our dancers travelled to the city of Hurghada in Egypt to participate in the Red Sea Aldau International Dance Festival – Competition and Training Camp 2022.

The event was organised by Mr. Igor Gutovskyi x Gutovskyi Events and took place between December 1-5 at the Steigenberger Aldau Beach Hotel, Red Sea, Egypt.

We don’t even know where to start – everything was directed perfectly right from the get go until the very end! Thank you, dearest Igor for hosting us at your event and for the warm hospitality.

Wojtek was invited to adjudicate at the competition alongside a fantastic panel of judges from all over the world.

Our team of dancers included participants across all age groups, from Juvenile to Adults.

International Dance Camp

This lucky bunch got to train with the best of the best in both Ballroom and Latin at their workshops and lessons across two full days. Indeed an experience and learning that they will cherish forever.

In addition to the 4 hours of workshops each day and their lessons, our dancers also attended daily practice sessions in preparation for the competition. This was such a wonderful opportunity for them to share the floor with some amazing talent from all over the world.

Red Sea Cup – International Dance Competition

On days 3 and 4 of this trip, our dancers competed in the Red Sea Cup in both solo and couples events. Team WPDA did really stand out from the crowd with everyone placing in the finals and coming home with great results!

A little note from Wojtek –

“…An amazing 4 days of training camp with top teachers and International competition with an amazing panel of adjudicators.

I am grateful for the opportunity to have been part of yet another project that was much more than just a prestigious International camp and competition 🌍🔝

Igor Gutovskyi – In these difficult times for Ukrainian dancers, You give them hope for better future 🇺🇦

Myself and my team are always happy to support you and we highly value our friendship 🥂

I was also privileged to receive the awards for best teacher and best Dance Club at the Festival – holidays for 2 in the amazing Steigenberger Pure Lifestyle🏖

Thank you and see you all again soon!…”

Once again, we’d like to extend our thanks to our vibrant and most welcoming host, Mr. Igor Gutovskyi and all of the team involved in making this event what it was, we look forward to seeing you soon!

On the last day of our trip, our mammies and dancers had plenty of time to enjoy the sun and sand on the premises of the resort.
Thank you all for making this happen – team work truly does make the dream work!

This was the last of our international travels for the year and we look forward to 2023!

Stay tuned!   untitled
